A tree stands out above the clouds with a bird perched on the top branch. Pacific Northwest inspired art with my own imaginative flair.

To make, 'Above the Clouds', I started with a sketch on a piece of printmaking linoleum. Then I used hand carving tools to cut each detail into the lino. Slowly the artwork came to life, one cut at a time. After I finished carving the block, I rolled linseed oil relief ink onto the raised surface (above my cut marks), and printed the block onto fine art recycled paper.

Hand inking techniques create unique prints, each one an original work of art. Colors vary during the printmaking process, photos are representative of the print you will receive.
