Sun Claws is inspired by my love of the ocean and crabbing trips with friends/family. I added some waves, a sunset, and seagull silhouettes onto the crab pinchers.

I created Sun Claws by hand-carving my design into a block of linoleum. I then rolled ink onto the lino by hand, and used a manual etching press to hand-crank the lino & paper through to make the print. After printing the first layer of color, I carved more away off my lino block and printed the next layer. By the end of the process my lino block was destroyed and I can never reprint this design.

Printed one at a time on recycled paper with eco-friendly oil based inks. Hand inking and blended roll techniques create unique prints, each one an original. Photos are representative of the print you will receive.
